Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil For Hyperpigmentation – Face Masks For Dark Spots

Over the last couple of years, coconut oil has come from seemingly nowhere to become the home remedy of choice for many, and with good reason.

Coconut oil is high in nutrients such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Capric Acid and Lauric Acid to name just a few.

The oil is also a natural antioxidant, and will get rid of dead skin cells, soften and smooth out the skin and can also be a great help in healing instances of acne.

As well as its many healing benefits, coconut oil is a very good antibaterial and antiviral agent, and is often used in the latest craze known as “oil pulling”. This is where a teaspoonful of coconut oil is taken into the mouth swilled around for ten minutes or so then spat out. This practice is very good at reducing bacteria in the mouth, which reduces bad breath and helps with gum disease.  This practice is also thought to promote overall “good health”.

Coconut oil can also help protect the skin from the suns harmful UV rays, and has been shown to provide an extra 20% UV protection when applied to the skin.

As a result, using coconut oil for hyperpigmentation has got to be a great idea.

If you’d like to try coconut oil for hyperpigmentation, by all means go ahead and try it neat straight onto the skin. The only thing I would recommend is finding a really good quality extra virgin organic oil to make sure you get the full benefits.

You could also try some of the face masks that are listed below and incorporate some other well known pigmentation remedies.
